To take a leading part in the provision of a Foster Care Service of the very highest standard to local authorities. This will include: working in close partnership with local authorities, foster carers and other agencies. The primary purpose of these tasks being to promote the best interests of foster children for whom Children First has a responsibility. The post-holder will at all times promote the best interest of the Agency and will avoid situations that may compromise the Agency’s good name.
The post holder will be required to deliver effective social work services to the benefit and best interests of the foster children in our charge

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Residential Support Workers to be based at a Children's Centre in the Leicestershire area.
You will be responsible for:
Assessing the needs of service users and developing individual support packages. Contributing to programmes of work with parents and carers dealing with children with behavioural difficulties
Developing children's personal and social skills through play
The Support Worker will have the following skills and experience:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare Knowledge and/or experience of Child Development and Needs of Children. Working with families and children in a professional or voluntary capacity Ability to work with diverse groups of people and possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
